8bit Trap played live on a nanoPAD2 | Finger drumming Trap

Here’s another performance I did with Ableton Live Intro, a nanoKONTROL, and nanoPAD2 control surfaces. For this one I wanted to combine a Trap style beat with Chiptune / 8bit styles. I used some lofi 808 samples with some bit reduction and the dream64 plugin, which you can download here http://demonicsweaters.com/2015/03/free-chiptune-vst-fantastic-sid-inspired-free-plugin-for-windows/ To get the rolling on the hi hat and blips I used the arpeggiator plugin in Ableton.

This one was pretty hard which is why I kept it short to actually be able to play it smoothly. Hope you like it! If you do, please subscribe to my Youtube channel and click like!

Korg nanoPAD2 performance with Ableton Live Intro – Geeky Gigs #6

This time for Geeky Gigs I used my new NanoPAD2 and my older nanoKONTROL with Ableton Live Intro with some samples I beat cut from an old Lo Borges LP using Waveosaur.

I’m not an expert at pad playing, but kept practicing all day and finally got something decent enough to post. I really dig it though since I’m a drummer, I can do this in my apartment and it doesn’t wake the neighbors!
If you want to know how to slice samples in Wavosaur like I did for this song, check my blog post here http://demonicsweaters.com/2015/03/chop-to-midi-workaround-for-ableton-live-intro-sample-chopping-tutorial-mpc-style-beat-slicing/
