This insanely awesome fan vid shows closeups of Kraftwerk performing hands-on to their live rigs which include ipads, midi controllers, digital mixers, touchscreen monitors, trackballs, and basically a science lab worth of stuff on each musician’s console. The electronic music pioneers have always been on the cutting edge of technology and this video shows they still are!
As cool as this is, leave it up to Youtube trolls to be angry about it. Here are some of the ridiculous comments on the vid:

I am kind of disappointed regarding the amount of iPads and the lack of vintage gear in there.. this somehow just busted a myth for me.”

These guys could use some #tunaknobs #lemur #kraftwerk”

14 year olds everywhere with an ipad and Maschine will now imagine they are like Kraftwerk. In truth, they were a creative force from about 1974 -1986 and thereafter have been happy to regurgitate the old stuff ad infinitum. (Tour de France Soundtracks aside.)”
Seriously people? You’re angry because Kraftwerk aren’t using giant heavy unreliable ancient gear that they’ve already used 30 years ago? Why would they want to do that? Don’t you think it would be a little silly for them and less challenging as artists to just continue using the same crap they used in the 1970s? I mean, I have nothing against vintage gear, but what these guys are doing now is pretty damn cool. The fact that they have all that stuff tied together and organized into such amazing looking setups blows my mind. Get over it, it’s 2015.
