An adventurous romp though new age enlightenment and extra-terrestrial soundscapes.
Steve Roach has always been a huge inspiration to me. His music is timeless, spiritual, hypnotic, and engrossing. This album especially is one of his best I’ve heard in a while. Though all are good, there’s a certain magic to this release that really resonates with me. I got it on CD and it sounds amazing. The CD came packed with such care, and inside there were several postcards with info and a very cool one of Steve in 2016 and on the reverse in 1983. There’s such clarity and depth when listening on headphones. I greatly admire this man’s dedication to his art and consistency over so many years. This is essential Steve Roach.
Ambient music fans will love this really cool online meditative drone generator. I stumbled upon this while thinking about composing music to basically guide a 20 minute meditation and was seeing what was out there.
In my opinion, there’s still to much going on in this to be useful in meditation, but it is still quite relaxing, and would be nice for sleeping or background while working. It features 10 different tracks of frequencies that you can adjust to your tastes as well as a timer and animation controls.
“Each slider controls a particular frequency band, from the lowest to the highest frequency. Adjust sliders to taste.
To mask undesirable noises, focus on bands sharing the same tone as the noise you want to cover. Doing so achieves a higher efficiency, and quieter masking noise levels.”
There’s also an iOS app, but no android one unfortunately 🙁
